Fusing Nordic folk overtones with pulsing, psychedelic post-rock, Lumen Drones are one of Norway’s most fascinating live acts at the moment. This trio, consisting of Hardanger fiddle virtuoso Nils Økland plus two members of the band Low Frequency In Stereo, draw on a multitude of influences from experimental rock, jazz, modal folk and ambient music. At this concert at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter Lumen Drones will present new material showing a slightly noisier but still fragile side of the group, as well as improvisations on themes from their debut album Lumen Drones (ECM, 2015).
