Fresh from appearing on the cover of The Wire, Moor Mother (aka Philadelphia’s Camae Ayewa) brings her noise-and cosmic jazz-tinged hiphop to Oslo. Her protest music is vivid and powerful, angrily exorcising the trauma of the past.
Berlin based DJ/producer Lotic has evolved into one of the most strident voices in avant club music, with an apocalyptic mix of gut wrenching bass, splintered R&B and warped electronics. Endless Power is her collaboration with visual artist Emmanuel Biard: a multimedia transformation of her recent Power album which explored different forms of the expression and experience of power. Lotic performs while standing in a spectacular chromatic laser ‘halo’.
Somali-born DJ Dahir Doni and his club ONKOD, will take over the decks between sets with his global sci-fi mix of Afro house, techno, gqom, kuduru, baile and funk.
In collaboration with Oslo World.
