For the second year, Ultima presents work composed and performed by Norwegian Academy of Music students.
In this first of two concerts, the focus is on electronic music and expanded composition.
These five pieces explore a multitude of themes including resonance of vowels and consonants (Wilhite-Hannisdal); teasing recorder and triangle players (Solberg); connections via threads and knots (Aksnes-Pehrson); the beauty of feedback (Langerød); someone who makes an irreversible choice (Nørbech), and revised preconceptions around the sound and role of the saxophone (Lindberg).
Find out how the youngest musical minds are hearing the world, and what the music of the next generations sounds like.
