As a composer, writer, music director at NRK, editor of Ballade magazine and chairman of the Norsk Komponistforening, Synne Skouen has played a significant role in Norway’s cultural life. At this special concert evening curated by Skouen herself, featuring a mix of her own music and some of her avant garde favourites, you’ll have the chance to join her in her unique sound world.

Det Norske kammerorkesteret has enjoyed a close relationship with Skouen and her music, and at the centre of the programme is her acclaimed piece Autumn Arias, a piece of ‘instrumental theatre’ which unfolds with no conductor and orchestra members drifting free of the mass. The evening will be punctuated with conversations about her life and art, hosted by Ida Habbestad.

Produced by Det Norske Kammerorkester.
