Dance, pop and art collide as Nils Bech and National Ballet dancer Silas Henriksen, musician Øyvind Mathisen and Oslo Strings take over the unique spaces of the Vigeland Museum. It is a performative homage celebrating Vigeland’s 150th anniversary. The performance is a new version of the successful and sold out project at Vigeland-museet presented by the Red Bull Music Festival Oslo in October 2018.
Vocalist, songwriter and performance artist Bech releases a new album in the autumn of 2019. Here, he uses sculptures by Vigeland, his French contemporary Auguste Rodin and others featured in the special anniversary exhibition as markers on a performative journey through the collection, interacting and responding to the artworks as the audience move with him. Nils Bech is one of Norway’s most charismatic and intense performers and this intimate occasion, featuring new and previously released material, promises to be a magically memorable banquet of song, dance and fine art.
Produced in collaboration with Vigeland-museet.
