A woman is on her way to the emergency room, and as she moves through the city we hear her thoughts: about her mother, and things that happened ten days before.
GÅ is the fifth and final part of the five-part LIVET (life) – a performance series exploring the transition from birth to death. This hour-long instalment is a personal stream of consciousness in dialogue with urban space, which explores how quarantining challenges the relationship with our loved ones, and how we can be affected by a lack of rituals.
Toril Goksøyr & Camilla Martens have teamed up with sound designer Sigrun Merete Mongstad, who has recorded sounds from the urban landscape and layered them into an immersive soundscape. Wearing portable audio devices, the audience will be guided from Oslo city centre, up to St. Hanshaugen.
Practical information
GÅ is an outdoor, walking experience, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
Meet up in the foyer of Det Norske Teatret as punctually as possible. Here you will be supplied with everything you need before the walk begins. You can do the walk alone or together with someone else.
The audience will move from Det Norske Teatret on a route that ends up at St Hanshaugen. The walk lasts approx. 1 hour.
