Composer Sandeep Bhagwati unites musicians across cultural divides. Refusing Eurocentric musical narratives, in favour of interdisciplinarity, Bhagwati has co-founded three artistic research ensembles in Montréal, Berlin and Pune which reflect the multitude of musical traditions in their cities.
This panel is a chance to meet this remarkable composer and cultural energiser, and hear a discussion with him and some of the performers participating in his Oslo Musics project. They will discuss the genesis of the work and the issues around making musicians from entirely different background and traditions make work together.
