Ultima at the Opera

Ultima at the Opera

Opera for babies and childhood dreams about a changing society: at this September’s Ultima festival there’ll be events aimed at kids and even featuring them.

In Dreams Of Our Future, composer and vocalist Sofia Jernberg converts dreams – as written down by children in Oslo – into song lyrics which they will  read out accompanied by various Scandinavian improv musicians. Combined with Bird Party – a video work by soprano Ariadne Greif and videographer Caroline Mariko Stucky which explores the future – this will be a rare and wonderful concert. Tickets for the performance on 13/9 are on sale from DNOB now. Suitable for both children and adults.

From  9–16/9, you can let your infant experience two new operas running in the Foyer – Amors varme by Christina Lindgren and Eivind Buene, and Orfeus’s trøst by Christina Lindgren and Maja S.K. Ratkje. Both performances last for 25 minutes. Tickets on sale now.
Both baby operas are suitable for children between 0–3 years.
